During this four-week course, students will explore both acrylic and oil painting while being introduced to a range of contemporary painting approaches. With an emphasis on experimentation, Michael will guide students through surface preparation, drawing as a foundation for painting and expanding into collage and mixed-media processes.

Through consideration of composition, mark-making and materiality, students will have the opportunity to work progressively from small-scale studies to larger compositions.
