LAITH MCGREGOR I REFIGURING

'Refiguring' is a two-day workshop involving multidisciplinary art forms including collage, drawing and painting. The sessions will be based on Laith's current studio practice, which involves working on an artwork a day to embody a flow state for further research, inspiration and studio development. This constant practice helps facilitate ideas and momentum for ongoing work, context, recontextualisation and expanded creativity.

Over the weekend, students will explore various art mediums to realise ideas. Students will create a body of new work while engaging in conversations on art, life and the in-between. Investigations of mark-making, collage technique, various approaches to painting and alternate sculptural applications will generate ideas and form a basis for further experimentation and skill building. Laith will support students to find alternate and inspiring approaches to art making and varied practices, by using the subconscious as a tool for creative potential and a constructive starting point for creative inspiration.

Let us cut, copy, paste, make, create, tear down, rebuild and think together...
