In this seven-week course, Antoinette will support students to develop a bust on a sculpture plinth focusing on surface development. Antoinette will also demonstrate an expressive small figure which students may also pursue. Conceptual motives and considerable exposure to artistic influences and contemporaries in the field of ceramics will also be explored providing a theoretical foundation.

Techniques covered will include building from a pattern with slabs and modelling. Antoinette will demonstrate her unique techniques that she employs in the process of her practice.

Materials provided, with the option to source individually throughout the course. There will be a base materials fee of $50 per student, and a firing fee of $15/kg post firing.

No prior ceramics experience necessary
